What is a "Daniel"?
I’ve always been very curious about my name. When I was 12, I asked my mother why my name is “Daniel”. She told me that I was named after one of my great-great-great-great-great-grandfathers. Or something like that. At the that time, I was satisfied with that response.
11 years later, I became curious as to what “Daniel” actually meant. I heard somewhere that it...
One of my favorite stand-up bits of all time.
I can honestly say that Donald Glover has become one of my favorite comedians of all time. And if I worked even half as hard as he does, I’d probably have my name out there as a musician already. Which I hope I can motivate myself to do really soon.
Anywho, he does a bit about sugary cereals in this particular video. Definitely one of my...
How Tumblr Could Be Better
I used to not like using tumblr. Now it’s kind of grown on me. However, there are certain functions that I think could make tumblr even better for everyone.
Add a “Hide” function. It’s the one thing that Facebook did right. Let’s be honest. On Facebook, you have tons of “friends” on your list…and you have no idea who they are. It also implies...

Resolutions I can KEEP!
If you know me, I’m not a fan of the New Year’s resolution phase that seems to be popular. People almost always NEVER stick to them. I know I don’t. Last year, I made a resolution to work out more. This year, I don’t think I’ve eaten more pizzas than any other year of my life.
So, this year, I’ve chosen to make resolutions that I’ll want to keep. And it...
I Love-Hate Drinking
Consuming alcohol always gives me mixed feelings. Some days, I love alcohol.
It keeps me warm during the cold winter nights (especially if you have whiskey).
It’s a good stress reliever (in moderation, obviously).
If you have red wine while sitting by a fire place while listening to Kina Grannis or Norah Jones, you look like one classy motherfucker! Or…if you’re like...

"The Dark Knight Rises" Official Trailer #2! →
This will be the only movie of 2012 that I will get in line for.
I'm wondering if it's sad that I have more food...
Nah, I’m fine.
A Simple Love Letter
Dear Prefrontal Cortex,
I know I don’t appreciate you enough. But let me just tell you, I love you. With my whole being. I love you.
You always keep me in check. You tell me what’s right…what’s wrong… What’s good…what’s bad…
You know proper judgement.
Whenever I want to shove a group of teenagers from the back down a flight stairs because...

Time Schedule
I haven’t written a post in a long time, due to laziness and the fact that I was trying to beat Skyward Sword. This past Sunday night, I successfully gained the power of the Triforce and saved the land from Evil. Now, only laziness can stop me from writing! Hooray.
While driving to and from Santa Cruz, I tried to figure out a way to be productive. 2 weeks ago, my schedule looked like this:
...
"Jason Mraz Fine-Tunes 4th Album for 2012" →
I was having a pretty pleasant day today until I read this. NOW, my brain is surfing on rainbows and high-fiving sky dolphins that pass by me. I’m also tossing the people below free freshly baked pizzas and Dunkaroos. WHILE it rains Caprisun.
To say that I’m anticipating this album would be an understatement, to say the least. When I read the title of this article, I actually inhaled...

A Passive-Aggressive Post About Passive-Aggessive...
I’ve had a tumblr for about 15 months now. I thought that it was a place where people wrote about their thoughts on world issues or how their day went. Instead I found an overwhelming gallery of gifs and jpegs, complaints about God-knows-what, and everything else in between.
Over the years, I’ve come to understand almost everything tumblr folks have to offer. Some people really...
"Fail? NOPE, PLANKING" - Imgur
I usually never post up .gif files…but this one was just too good to pass up. Hopefully it makes your morning better like it did for mine.
NOTE: Sorry, you’ll have to click the icon first if you want to view it. I haven’t quite figured out how to post .gif files properly. Apparently you can’t just “add” it if the file is too big.
EDIT: Because I felt guilty...

In-N-Out's Double Double Animal Style...RECIPE?! →
That’s right, people. If In-N-Out is just a little too far for your liking…try making them at home! Kick ass!
What surprised me the most about this author is that he actually had a buddy of his from the west coast FREEZE DRY the burgers…and mail them to the EAST COAST. Total shipping cost this poor fellow $120! CRAZY…and worth it! If you want to read about it, click here.
Sister, Sister
“Sister, Sister” was an awesome show. I give you permission to laugh at me at this moment.
OK, now that you’ve collected yourself, I can continue.
Unfortunately, this is not a post about the fun-loving sitcom. This is an entry that will discuss my older sister, Asuncion Teresita Mascardo. Some of you may be surprised by this, seeing as you never met her. Well, I haven’t...
Andy Samberg interviews Drake. Honestly, you can’t ask for anything more. Except for maybe some pizza.
Generation: Worrisome
It’s a funny thing. If you talk to people of different generations, most will be fairly biased toward their own generation and somewhat talk down on the younger generations. For instance, I firmly believe that 90’s music, movies, television shows, and video games are way better than most of what we have now. That doesn’t mean I’m right; it’s just how I feel.
Still,...
The One Thing Missing in my Life (Post #201)
Oops. I just realized that last post was #200.
Anyway, due to popular demand from Ray and Allen Mark, we shall discuss the depression caused by the inability to grow a proper full beard. Ladies, there are some of you who can’t grow a beard/already have a full beard, so you won’t know what I’m talking about. Not being able to grow a proper beard as a man is the emotional...

Dan the Bland
Meeting new people is always a good thing. More often than not, you’ll meet these new potential companions through mutual friends. On most occasions, your mutual friend will introduce you to others in a standard fashion. “Oh, by the way, everyone, this is my friend [insert your name here].”
Then you all exchange pleasantries and go on your adventure together, right? This is how...
Teens Using Tampons To Get Drunk →
Usually, I’d try to add a clever joke to something like this.
But I’m fairly certain it’s not necessary at this point.
Being a Writer on tumblr is...
One of the most difficult things to be on the Internet. For several reasons, actually.
1) A lot of people (especially from 4chan), actually HATE tumblr. I myself am indifferent to tumblr, and I only use it because it lets me upload music easier.
2) Most text entries are drowned in a sea of images and .gif files from imgur.com (which I highly implore you to visit when you have time because the...
Platonic Cuddling: Does It Exist?
A question I used to contemplate when I was a young lad of 20. Is it possible for two friends to snuggle under the covers, watch a movie, have a discussion about Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, then leave the room like it was no big deal?
Yes, friends. Yes it is.
I know. Hard to believe, right? Of all people…ME?! Trust me, I was just as shocked as you are now. But it happened. And not by...

It’s an old 2008 article…but it speaks the truth entirely and completely.
Fun and Harmless Ways to Annoy Your Friends
When I’m bored on tumblr, I like to make “list” posts. So here’s another.
A few of these methods were inspired by my good friend Chris. In fact, I’ve fallen victim to a few of these thanks to his crazy shenanigans.
1) If you have access to your friend’s room, try to find their sock drawer. If you’re lucky enough to find it and see that they’ve...

Just a Guy with 38 Unfinished Songs
A career in music.
It’s something I’ve always dreamed of having. Preferably, I’d like to perform. Whether if I was opening for a really great artist…or tuning guitars for a really great artist. Heck, just performing music and being paid in gum would be nice!
Just a few minutes ago, I flipped through several songs in my notebook. After that, I checked my laptop and found...
My niece doesn’t know what a “watch” is, so she calls it a clock. And she really really wants her own “clock”. Today, she saw my watch (which is a handsome Skagen, I might add) and yelled, “I want clock!”.
Cute, right? Since she’s only two years old, her grammar isn’t very good yet. I can’t hold it against her. HOWEVER, because she is a...
