About

Hello, I am Dan. To this day, I still wonder...why no one has ever drawn a picture of a panda riding a unicorn while holding a lightsaber. If you have found this picture, please let me know ASAP.

Generation: Worrisome

It’s a funny thing. If you talk to people of different generations, most will be fairly biased toward their own generation and somewhat talk down on the younger generations. For instance, I firmly believe that 90’s music, movies, television shows, and video games are way better than most of what we have now. That doesn’t mean I’m right; it’s just how I feel.

Still, that doesn’t mean that I don’t worry about my own generation…or younger ones, for that matter. Why, you ask? Because…

1) People still listen to Chris Brown. It’s good to know that as long as I sing and dance well, I can get away with domestic violence. I may need to get into an argument with a Chris Brown fan to understand their logic as to why he’s still good in their eyes. Someone out there, please explain it to me rationally.

2) The students at Penn State. They shouldn’t have televised the Penn State football game that was aired the weekend of that horrifying news report. Mainly because the rest of America had to watch Penn State treat the firing of Joe Paterno as a national tragedy. I mean, it was a tragedy, no doubt…but not for Joe Paterno. The fact that their students rioted over something like that…just goes beyond true idiocy. All of America face-palmed themselves while watching you, Penn State students. Sometimes, I still do.

3) Our need to let everyone we know how we feel ALL time. I still can’t comprehend why people need to let the general public know their thoughts all the time. ESPECIALLY when they link their twitter to their Facebook. Not only does it unnecessarily clog up my newsfeed; it also makes me seem like more of an asshole than I actually am. If you’ve ever sat in front of your computer screen and thought, “Who the hell cares?” while scrolling through someone’s twitter/Facebook…then I think you and I can be friends. I don’t even care if you thought it while reading my stuff. I’d still appreciate your honesty (provided I liked you to begin with).

4) Kim Kardashian’s wedding. Even now, I wonder why the hell everyone cared so much. Why was this headline worthy for almost every major media outlet? People get divorced all the time (sadly)! Kris Humphries isn’t even a major NBA player! Why are we so worried that gay couples will ruin marriage when there are clearly these straight couples that bastardize it already? How come we talk more about how shitty Kim and Kris are as a couple…and not about how great Neil Patrick Harris and David Butra are as a couple? I mean, I like laughing at miserable celebrities as much as the next person…but really, World, get it together.

On a totally unrelated note…
Super Nintendo > PS3, 360, and Wii. Fact. If you think otherwise, your opinion is wrong and irrelevant.
