Time Schedule
I haven’t written a post in a long time, due to laziness and the fact that I was trying to beat Skyward Sword. This past Sunday night, I successfully gained the power of the Triforce and saved the land from Evil. Now, only laziness can stop me from writing! Hooray.
While driving to and from Santa Cruz, I tried to figure out a way to be productive. 2 weeks ago, my schedule looked like this:
9:10 AM - Wake up and look at the clock. Rest head for a few more minutes before getting up for the day.
10:15 AM - Wake up for the second time. Eat a banana and get ready to go running in the next 10 minutes.
1:12 PM - Stop reading recipes with bananas in them and put on shoes to run.
1: 14 PM - Realize it’s too cold to run; Play Skyward Sword.
10:00 PM - Stop playing to go eat a sandwich while sitting on the toilet. Pat myself on the back for my brilliant multi-tasking idea. Go back to playing Zelda.
1:00 AM - Go to bed and set alarm for 9:00 AM again.
However, in order to be a productive person, I realized that I need to actually set AND stick with a good schedule. Now that I’ve beaten Zelda, I can go back to being (somewhat) productive. So here’s what I’m going for now:
9:00 AM - Wake up and eat the bananas that I hide under my bed so I don’t have to get up and get some.
10:00 AM - Go run for 3 miles.
10:20 AM - Get tired after running a 1/2 mile. Walk home casually while listening to The Head and the Heart on my iPod.
10:45 AM - Shower while singing Jason Derulo songs. Forget the lyrics halfway through each song.
11:00 AM - Work on my resume more. For real this time.
12:00 PM - Send resume out to jobs that aren’t in my field (i.e. senior engineer or Hooters).
2:00 PM-7:00 PM - Seriously contemplate whether or not I should move to LA for work but convince myself that I love the SF Giants too much to leave.
7:30 PM - Try to create lyrics to the compositions that I’ve already made.
9:00 PM - Actually record these songs.
10:30 PM - Get mad at my recordings and just read “Calvin and Hobbes” instead.
12:00 AM - Turn the lights off and listen to admired artists to pick up some inspiration for songwriting.
And then repeat. Until my real life finally starts to kick off.
